Over the years, Eisenhauer Gallery has become more than a destination for fine art. It has played an essential role in the cultural life of the island, sponsoring over 350 local concerts at the weekly "Music in the Square", hosting more than 140 artist exhibitions, and presenting everything from Fourth of July parades and holiday strolls to fashion shows and art walks.
Founded by Elizabeth Eisenhauer—who began her career in Taos, New Mexico, in 1994—the gallery has grown alongside her vision. From managing galleries on both Block Island and Martha’s Vineyard across state lines from 2000 to 2007, to establishing Eisenhauer Gallery as a beloved community hub, Elizabeth’s passion continues to shape the gallery’s ever-evolving identity. "Memorial Day weekend on the Vineyard feels like old home week—familiar faces, big hugs, and a crowd like no other walking through our doors. After 25 years, it’s still the most magical way to kick off the season," says Eisenhauer.
