In their new artful gift book, Away to See: Martha’s Vineyard, Liz and Paul explore the slower side of the island, sharing some of their favorite spots and experiences through lyrical vignettes and vibrant
paintings.

In honor of the book's recent release and the island spirit, beauty, and people that inspired it, Paul and Liz will join us at the Eisenhauer Gallery for a book celebration on Friday, July 17th. This celebration will be accompanied by an exhibition of Paul’s paintings—including works featured in the book—as well as a collection of coastal paintings by his daughter, artist Laina Norwood.

This year’s father-daughter exhibition is a follow-up to last summer’s show, called “Summer Raised,” that was well received and saw Laina’s work sell out. Laina, a Fine Arts student at UC Santa Barbara, has been painting her entire life, drawing inspiration from the SF Bay Area Figurative Artists and the diverse art community on the Vineyard. She has had group shows at galleries in San Francisco, Santa Barbara and Martha’s Vineyard.

Paul and Laina's collections will debut on July 1 and remain on view through July 21. The works may be viewed both in the gallery and online at eisenhauergallery.com
